- FAQ about Creative ZEN Vision player
|
If you are transferring video files via ZEN Vision Explorer, the application will check the video properties before transferring. If any of the video's properties do not match the requirement, it will prompt for converting.
If you are using Windows Media Player 10 to transfer video files, it will not check for video properties. The player will show a message that it is unable to playback.
ZEN Vision will automatically resize the image if the resolution is too large.
It is normal to have pixelated effect for lower resolution image/video. eg. a 320x240 video clip, if view in full screen, it is actually pixelated.
Depending on storage space, the device can record up to 10 hours of voice in one non-stop recording session. After the 10th hour, user has to manually start the recording again.
Image you are a digital camera user. You have copied only the 10 latest file via CF copying to a ZEN Vision. This time, you wish to copy all pictures but do not wish to have another folder to be created, you select Append From Compact Flash option. ZEN Vision will copy all the rest of the files into the same folder and rename it.
When MPEG files (e.g. extensions .mpg, .mpeg) are transferred to the Creative ZEN Vision using WMP10, the duration of the files is not transferred to the device. On playback, the MPEG files will show a duration of "-00:00:00" at the bottom right of the screen. Consequently, seeking to any portion of the track will not be possible. This will occur using the "FF/REW" buttons or the "SEEK TO" arrow navigation buttons.
However if the MPEG file plays back successfully, approximately 30 second through playback you can quit playback and return to the video file. It will now be able to seek successfully as the duration of the file has been calculated correctly.
The ZEN Vision does not use the Portable Media Center software, it is using a proprietary Creative developed Operating System. The ZEN Vision does however interface with your PC using the MTP standard.
